I have been receiving complains from our readers that why is it that only symbian phone has the ability to remove password from a memory card? I do tell them to calm down that i will find solution to it, now i have been able to gather out some fact on how to use Android phone and PC in wiping Forgotten password from a memory card. Today, after sharing this, I know you will be begging your friends to dash you their memory card in which they have forgotten the password.
Method 1 (android user)
- First go to your phone File Manager
- Select settings then select System folders
- Now in the system folder, look for a file named mmcstore
- Send the file to the laptop using a cable or bluetooth if there is any
- Now open the file with the laptop notepad
- Then you will see the password in the file
- Insert the memory card in nokia N or E series
- Go to where the memory card details is located
- Click on Format memory card and it won't request for password
- Download any file Explorer suitable for your phone
- Start the app and press Zero (0), this will load out the system files
- lookout for MMCSTORE which may be found at sys/data/mmcstore
- Open the above path with a normal editor
- Look for a code like this in the third column '!TMSD02G'
- Erase the code and you now get a memory card with no code
- Insert the memory card into your modem or adapter and insert into the pc
- Right click on Device disk and click on format from the menu option
- Once its done, then you have a unlocked memory card before you.
